Throughout the rest of the world IOG operates through distribution partners and is rapidly growing to be the supplier of choice for mid to high volume document scanners. IPL is 80% locally owned with the factory retaining a 20% interest and working closely with us and our Australian contracts.
Within AU / NZ, IPL does not manufacture but has secured distributorships
with the following companies:
In the AU/NZ market IPL has been in operation since April 2004 and was initially established to manage distribution partners throughout South East Asia.
In 2007 the IOG Australia Distributor was ASI Solutions based in Sydney and they in turn contracted their servicing to multiple service agents. Performance of some of the contractors was below standard and after consulting with some of their major account contacts, ASI was directed to approach Smiths Office Solutions (SOS) in Lavington NSW. SOS, an equipment sales and service organisation for over 30 years was subsequently appointed as the service contractor for the Australian Taxation Office contract and underwent factory training in Germany for the equipment. The performance of the equipment and service rapidly improved under SOS's management drawing interest from IOG and the ATO.
In 2008 IOG rescinded the distributorship with ASI and went direct to market in AU/NZ securing the maintenance contracts with their client base and appointing SOS as the National Service Agent responsible for machines in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Perth.
In 2009 after enjoying positive results and feedback, IOG appointed Glenn Smith of SOS as the Managing Director of IPL and an incentive based acquisition program was put in place.
As of July 2011 Glenn has attained the maximum 80% share in IPL, installed equipment in AU and NZ and set up a National Service Alliance with Toshiba Australia Electronic Imaging Division. Toshiba EID is responsible for service delivery on imaging devices throughout Australia and New Zealand for the NSW / QLD / NT and VIC State Government, Federal Government and many large commercial organisations along with thousands of SME's.
